Special Events For Kids
Special events for kids are bridges to the wide world of experience available through our library collections. Join us in welcoming guest storytellers, magicians, musicians, jugglers, and experts in wildlife, history and much more. Programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library.
Note for group leaders: Groups are always welcome to request a storytime for their group, although not on a weekly basis. For policies regarding group attendance at regularly scheduled storytimes, please contact the children’s staff at your local library.
Wild About Books!
Saturday mornings, 10:30, at the Central Library, for children 3 to 7 years. This program of stories, songs, and other activities always features a special guest on the first Saturday of the month. On other Saturday mornings, children’s librarians Armin, Claudia, Emma, Erica, and Sugene share the programming, adding their own music, magic, crafts, and storytelling skills to each week’s mix. A great way to rediscover favorite titles and meet some of the best new books for early listeners.
